With her powerful, soul-influenced voice and captivating stage presence, Annie has become an undisputed musical force for the new millennium.
Her vocal ability has been compared to and is reminiscent of soul legends Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight and funk divas Tina Marie and Chaka Khan.
Still, Annie possesses a distinctive and energetic style that is uniquely and definably her own.
From her soul stirring ballads to her adrenaline soaked dance tracks, Annie's voice and song writing is equally aspired and assured.
Nominated twice for both "Best R&B Vocalist" and "Best Song" in 1993 and again in 1995 by the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA), Annie has proven herself an accomplished composer as well as one of the best R&B vocalists around today.
Touring the East Coast, opening for National acts such as WAR, playing large festivals (National Captial BBQ Battle), concerts and clubs, Annie has amassed a respectable following in the DC Metropolitan area.
Critical recognition and acclaim have been overwhelmingly positive regarding her release "Other Side of the Sun".

I gave her my business card and she emailed me with CDbaby.com's address so I checked it out. After hearing the samples I ordered the CD immediately and I have listened to it almost daily since. Every song on it has soul. You can tell these songs were written from the heart and have significant meaning to her. Some of her songs have a special meaning for me specifically and that is what I value the most when it touches home for me. If you like Teena Marie you will like Annie. The music is fabulous!!!!
great CD and a great performer
author: JaneThis is a great CD. It has become one of my favorites. I wish I could listen to it in the car on the cassette player. I will have to get an adapter. I have purchased CD from other new artists at shows and never been as impressed with the CD as with the live show. In Annie case the CD brings the show back to me with the same excitement.
