notes
Coining their name from an allegorical band in a never-published screenplay authored by Ivan, Soulfound fuses together the bravado of progressive, the attitude of punk and the sensitivity of indie rock to create their unique sound. Formed in Gainesville, Florida in 1999, the band has transcended musical trends while striving to find their own flavor.
Soulfound are one part 90210, one part Maxim magazine. One part Wrestlemania, one part Academia. They are the guys parents love at first, but then forbid you from ever hanging out with again; the proverbial goody-goodies gone sour.
Drawing from influences like Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, Rush, Jimmy Eat World, Metallica and Led Zeppelin, Soulfound has been a stalwart of the Pinellas County music scene since moving to Clearwater in May 2002. Since the move, Soulfound has been gaining popularity with fans, critics and bands alike , mostly due to their unparalleled, energetic live show.
Soulfound has shared the stage with Hawthorne Heights, Acceptance, Jet, Eve 6, Socialburn, Blindside, OK GO, Warrant, Psychedelic Furs, the New Left, Bowling for Soup, Yellowcard, Hopesick, Magna-Fi, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Big Sky and Truly Sunday and have been part of Vans Warped Tour (2004), 98Rock's Livestock 13 (2003), Rag Magazine's RAGFEST (2004), the University of Florida's Music Law Conference (2003, 2004), Daytona Speedweek (2005), Ribfest (2005), Emergenza Festival (2005) and Axis Magazine's Florida Music Festival (2004).

Stylish emotional rock
author: Kudos MagazineSoulfound have produced a great EP with this release and the collection of songs are sure to please listeners. Their style is a mix of rock and emo with powerful, heartfelt vocals. Fire! with its vibrant verses and arena ready chorus is a great introduction to the bands sound. However songs such as the shimmering Prove Me Wrong are strong cuts but lack the energy of Fire and in some ways opener Under This Silent Spell. Soulfound are only just beginning to show what they are capable of. One to watch. Try out: Fire!
