"The band's name and the seeming simplicity in the album say much about our American way of life. And I can't be sure if that is even the point of the music. Listening to these catchy, funny, and original tunes on Songs Abut Food, I almost don't care. What matters is the thoughts that these clean lyrics evoke in each listener. For instance, in 'Mama's Apple Pie,' the focal point of the song; '...I love mama's apple pie.' This stirs long lost memories, taking you way back. It makes you want to call your mom and thank her...for everything.
