notes
Winner of the prestigious 2007 Hollywood FAME Award for Humanitarianism, the I'm Too Young For This! benefit CD (and survivor educational toolkit) features 21 original tracks composed by young adult recording artists who have been directly affected by cancer, either through their own personal diagnosis or that of a loved one.
The album's thematic diversity reflects that of its artists, each of whom shares a uniquely inspiring personal journey through their art. This project was a labor of love 3 years in the making. What it represents is not only hope, but the creative voice of united community of survivors who often feel they're the only one's out there.
A TIME Magazine Best 50 Website for 2007, the I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation, is a pioneering national, survivor-led advocacy, research and support organization working exclusively on behalf of survivors and care providers under the age of 40. Our mission is to end isolation and improve quality of life for young adults affected by cancer by using music, the arts and social media to serve as a global support community that provides 'one-stop' access to hard-to-find resources, peer support and social networks.
"I wanted to create something radically different than other cancer benefit CDs," says Matthew Zachary, i[2]y Founder and young adult survivor. "Instead of simply slapping a pink ribbon on an existing compilation of songs by random pop artists, this project has deeper meaning and purpose as a practical educational tool that not only raises awareness for our mission but fulfills it simultaneously."
100% of all net proceeds benefit the foundation.

Perfect
author: JulieI've been a cancer survivor for 23 years now and these songs really reflect how I've felt in the past and how I feel now. I love it.
a gratifying inspiration compliation of emotions...Thank you.
author: Staciethis CD is my awakening. its my "it"--after finding out that my husband has brain cancer, i felt as if words could not describe my feelings. but this music has. thank you for making me LIVE again.
Great music, cancer or not, but even more powerful...
author: thomasThis is great music whether or not the artists are cancer survivors, but their message is so powerful in light of their cancer experiences. I work with people with cancer everyday, and I can't wait to share this music with them. I know they'll be inspired and there's something for everyone on this disc!
Incredibly talented artists, very moving music
author: MarianThese incredibly talented artists have compiled a CD of moving music reflecting their experiences with cancer. The poignancy of their struggles and their triumphs will inspire all who listen.
Soothing, introspective music
author: SteveA wonderfully introspective collection of songs, where the artists convey their cancer experiences. Aside from the common theme of a cancer experience between them, the songs on this album are worth listening to.
poignant
author: WendyThis heartfelt work deepened my understanding of the inner struggle to accept a cancer diagnosis and then undergo treatment. The expressions of grief touched my soul. I am blessed to be the hearer of such emotional honesty.
Says it all...
author: CyndiFor those families dealing with cancer in a young adult or child, the songs say it all. Each artist clearly expresses the feelings that the cancer patient and his family feels. In fact, it is so "on-the-mark" that it is sometimes difficult for me to make it through the entire CD without tears running down my cheeks. My son died from colorectal cancer at the age of 21, three months after he was diagnosed.
