The Band's first studio album, Rise Up captures the high energy of the live big band experience, while bringing special studio-only features like guest vocalists. The best yet, we bring you a vibrant and eclectic mix of the unexpected in a marching band.
MarchFourth Marching Band is a mobile big band spectacular, consisting of a brassy pack of saxophones, trombones, and trumpets, a raucous drum/percussion corps, anchored by a mobile and wireless electric bass. The sound is huge, melodic, and dynamic, taking audiences on a musical journey around the globe. MarchFourth writes and performs its own material, and also draws inspiration from an eclectic range of worldwide influences, such as Eastern European gypsy brass, samba, latin, funk, afro-beat, big-band, jazz, and rock music, as well as television, film, circus, and vaudeville.
A portion of proceeds from this album will be donated to Sweet Home New Orleans, a non-profit whose mission is to support the individuals and organizations that will perpetuate the New Orleans' unique musical and cultural traditions. SHNO helps musicians, Mardi Gras Indians, and Social Aid & Pleasure club members get on their feet, earn money for their art, and pass on America's most unique cultural traditions.
