This newest release by Mary Ann, "Hoofbeats, Heartbeats & Wings" celebrates horses and the animals we love. From her ranch in Tennessee, Mary Ann sees, breathes and feels the strength of nature, the communication between and among horses and animals and converts both to lyrics, music and arrangements with amazing clarity. It captivates the listener.
Mary Ann has 20+ years of traditional success in the country and pop fields. She has worked with Emmy Lou Harris, Sting, Art Garfunkel, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Restless Heart, LeaAnn Rimes and Pam Tillis, among others. Her first grammy nomination was for her single, "Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands," recorded by Lee Greenwood and Reba. Restless Heart's "I'll Still Be Loving You" earned a second grammy nomination for Mary Ann and co-writers Pam Rose and Pat Bunch.
Mary Ann writes:
"The songs from my first CD 'The Trail Less Traveled' (also available on CDBaby) were inspired by the deaths of my two soul-mates: my dear 15-year-old pug, Choy, and my horse, Tonka, the colt I raised and rode for 9 years. Both their souls flew away together in August, 2000. The healing process is an amazing thing.
Three and a half years after the journey down 'The Trail Less Traveled' , overwhelming response from fans and kindred spirit animal lovers, inspired my second CD "Hoofbeats, Heartbeats & Wings". Through melody, rhythm, and humor in song, my hope is that this music will touch the heart of every horse and animal lover who hears it. Turn it up loud in your truck, play it in the barn while cleaning stalls or grab the reins and RIDE to it!
