"I first heard of Denean from a friend who made a sampler CD of music by various artists. The song I heard by Denean was "Fire Prayer," a song of the Ancient Ones. I closed my eyes, and visualized a fire, the fingers of the warm fire dancing to the song, the ancients faces appearing on the rocks, trees, etc. in the shadows. When I had a chance, I bought the CD, and listen to it frequently.
It's very easy to tap to the beat of the music, which has a Native American flavor. Denean's rich voice enhances the experience of her music. All one has to do is hear her voice to know that she pours out her soul and love of the Earth Mother in each song. If you enjoy Alternative Music, or New Age (A term that encompasses many types of music), and enjoy artists such as Lisa Thiel, Zeeza, Circle of Women, then I would highly recommend this CD."
