I Miss Buffy! Megan Gogerty's Awesome Tribute Album
A poppy, catchy, totally fun album extolling the virtues of Joss Whedon and Buffy T.V.S. You\'ll laugh. You\'ll cry. You\'ll re-watch your Buffy DVDs. The only Buffy tribute album you will ever need. Seriously.
Listen. We’ve all been there. Girl meets TV show. Girl loves TV show. TV show gets cancelled. Girl pines for TV show – halfheartedly casts around for a replacement, buys all the DVDs in an attempt to turn back time, finds herself sitting through the cable broadcast of “Cruel Intentions” just for a little Sarah Michelle Gellar fix. But to no avail. Girl misses TV show. So she does the only logical thing. Girl makes a funny, catchy, kick-ass tribute album to TV show.
“I Miss Buffy! Megan Gogerty’s Awesome Tribute Album” is…well, awesome. Ten totally original songs extol the virtues of Joss Whedon’s signature creation.
Featuring the internet hits, “I Miss Buffy T.V.S.” and “Kinda Wish D’Hoffryn Was My Boyfriend,” this comedy album is water in the desert for the die-hard Buffy fan.
When your roommate threatens to strangle you if you play the soundtrack to “Once More With Feeling” one more time, catch her off guard with these funny, instantly hummable little ditties!
When you’re counting the days for the next Buffy comic to come out and you desperately need a distraction before your head spins off its axis, “I Miss Buffy!” rides to the rescue!
When you feel like no one truly understands you and your vampire fixation…When you have those days where the power to cast a Glamour spell on a zit would be a huge help….When you find yourself wishing you had your Ph.D. already so you could attend one of those Buffy academic conferences that don’t look nearly as boring as other, non-Buffy academic conferences do… “I Miss Buffy” is for you!
WHO IS MEGAN GOGERTY, ANYWAY?
Besides being a rabid Buffy enthusiast, Megan Gogerty is a playwright and songwriter. She likes pineapple on pizza. Her favorite color used to be red but is now turquoise, which represents a general mellowing of her temperament. She thinks Spike is much better for Buffy than Angel ever was, mostly because your high school boyfriend is rarely as good a match as your college boyfriend. If she had a choice between a wild, all-night orgy of disco-tacular sexy fun, or sitting on her couch reading Entertainment Weekly and eating peanut M&Ms, she’d probably choose the second thing.
