    Good & Evil
Traditional Bottleneck Slide Blues Guitar Styles from the 1930 Depression Era to the 1960 Folk Revival Movement.
Here it is...my 1st Music CD...Good & Evil. Professionally produced and recorded at Supreme Sound Studio. After working with 20 musicians for a period of 3 years, I am finally able to make this CD available to my friends, students, and all fans of Blues Guitar. BOTTLENECK SLIDE GUITAR is based on an early one string folk instrument called the Diddley-Bow, and the traditional playing style of Hawaiian Guitar. The early Blues Masters of the 1920s and 30s, would place a bottleneck from a wine bottle, or a short piece of metal pipe on their finger. Using this as a slide, they could move up and down along the strings of a guitar imitating singing or the cries and moans of the human voice. This style uses an early method of tuning the guitar called open tuning, that is also used to play banjo. Most of the tunes are played on vintage Resonator Guitars using the Bottleneck Blues Slide Method. In addition, you will hear the following instruments: Turn of the century Parlor guitar, Steel string guitars, Upright and Electric Bass, Cigar Box guitar, Banjo, Drums, African Drum Circle, Washboard, Train Rail & Hammer, Harmonica, Violin, Mandolin, Saxophone, Flute, Piano, Tap Dancing, and Hand Bells. Earlier this year, Keni Lee Burgess was invited to audition in NYC. The MTA held it's 20TH annual auditions for M.U.N.Y. Music Under New York. M.U.N.Y is a program where musicians get to be heard by city subway riders during their commute. He received a nice review By NY Post Columnist DAN AQUILANTE.
