    Jonathan Long & David Shenton
    Tenor Moments
A voice of incredible clarity and style,as dreamy as Tony Bennett,as smooth as Mel Torme, with a flair to rival the great Irish tenors. With the award winning David Shenton at the piano these popular standards prove to be an infectious musical experience.
"Jonathan Long proves himself an elastic singer capable of everything from classic jazz to lush ballads" Critic-Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide “ Breathtakingly clear vocals – exquisitely rich with all the emotions of a superb actor, Jonathan envelops the audience and warms your heart.” Jodi B. Katzman, ( Talent Coordinator of the United Cerebral Palsy Telethon) ‘Mr. Long’s tenor is reminiscent of several Irish tenors to note – he brings to the music many beautifully colorful shadings and infectious warmth, His passionate delivery comes right from the heart.” John Hogland (Back Stage) Jonathan Long is a native of Baltimore, Md. He studied music at Peabody Conservatory and Indiana University and studied voice with Eileen Farrell, Marilyn Cotlow and Walter Cassel. He sang his first solo recital at Carnegie Hall in 2003. His diverse career began singing and dancing at Radio City Music Hall with Sandy Duncan and Marge Champion and Off –Broadway as “Jinx” in “Forever Plaid”. He soon became a “Big Band” singer at the famed Roseland Ballroom in NYC..and frequent singer with the Long Island Pops at the Tillis Center for the Arts in Oyster Bay, NY. Mr. Long entertained for the Canadian Government in Alberta, Canada and sang and danced at the Aladdin and Flamingo Hotels in Las Vegas and on the great Cruise ships. He was featured singer for the National Broadcasting Hall of Fame awards honoring Mr. Frank Sinatra, E.G Marshall and Arlene Frances and has been seen on the motion picture screen and in television commercials for Nabisco. David Shenton (piano)“…brilliant…sizzling…flawless…left the audience breathless…” John Hogland (Back stage) “ David Shenton is one of the most versatile musicians I have ever encountered- he simply does everything so well.” John Wilson (conductor and MGM orchestrator) David Shenton studied piano and violin at the Royal College of music in London, England. David’s gift of versatility as a musician has allowed him to perform violin concertos with major orchestras, play jazz piano warming up Tony Bennett in New York City, orchestrate and arrange music for Broadway shows and feature films and see several of his own musicals fully realized in New York. David has also played for many notable singers including the casts hit Broadway shows such as “The producers”, “Jersey Boys”,” A Chorus Line”, “Young Frankenstein”, “The Little Mermaid”, “The Color Purple”, and many others. David’s fifth musical, “Anna the Story Teller”, has recently been optioned by producers. In August 2001 David was one of six prize-winners in the International Billboard competition. His first solo piano album, “Sunnyside Blues”, was released to great critical acclaim.
