    Miss Tess
    When Tomorrow Comes
A collection of jazz standards sung by the modern vintage queen
Miss Tess is a young songwriter, guitarist, and accomplished jazz singer currently involved in the thriving Boston music scene. She first began her performing career in Charm City (ah beloved Baltimore), but has since moved to Boston and found a new happy home in the jazz/roots/folk scene. She is making the scene with help from her band, “Miss Tess & The Bon Ton Parade”, in which she is accompanied by upright bass, sax/clarinet, drums, and a lead guitarist. Dig this swingin’ show! Miss Tess is the Modern Vintage Queen. Her melodies and lyrics are very real and current, yet definitively infused with reveries of 20s and 30s swing, jazz, and blues. Fans are often surprised to learn that most of the songs are original. You can tell that she is an old soul would who has spent a lot of time listening to the wistful melodies of classic jazz and blues. “My dad told me that when I was only 2 years old, I used to fall asleep listening to his big band practice going on right under my room in the basement. Now I can sleep through anything- haha.” "When Tomorrow Comes" is her second album consisting mostly of jazz standards and a few originals, with some high-profile jazz musicians from the dc area (Steve Abshire-guitar, John Jenson-trombone, Robert Redd-piano, Ralph Gordon-bass, Rusty Mason-sax, Steve Larrance-drums, Nate Leath-fiddle, Berklee grad).
