    Jik
    Crash Course
Listen to Smooth Hip Hop Island Sounds with a West Coast Twist. There's a song for everyone. Enjoy.
Jik aka Peach Po; where can we begin? With his parents always on the go Jik spent most of his younger years in the back of a car traveling across country with rap music in his headphones; though he knew his Mamma would have his neck if she only knew the hardcore lyrics and material that was being pumped into his young impressionable mind at the most ungodly decibels. As a child Jik was a dreamer and always felt as though he was special and had something inside him that he needed to show the world. Baker county Florida is where life really started; growing up as a multi racial kid in a predominantly white school had its disadvantages and advantages . With plenty of racism still flowing through the rivers and lakes of the south, jik found himself somewhat stuck in the middle while battling racial adversities, teachers who could care less and the pressure of his peers. Being a bit of a trouble maker landed him in a few situations with the law and he spent most of his schooling in the principal's office and detention. Eventually through living the life of a traveling gypsy, Jik left his home in Baker county an began a new life in the Hi State (Hawaii) with his grandmother. He quickly adjusted and fell into a group of friends who were seriously into Hip Hop music. So it begins. Jik wrote his first song. He found what it was he was meant to do. He told everyone that he knew there is no need to worry about anything anymore; he’s got a plan. But like all plans nothing goes the way you expect. Becoming a father at the age of 19 was a big change in Jik’s life. It was time to grow up, but with a G.E.D and no real schooling behind him the road to success was looking a bit dim. “Never quit"these were the words that were instilled in him by his parents and that’s just what he did. Music has not blessed him with a wealthy life style or huge popularity. In fact he has yet to see much in return except alot of good songs that he believes are good enough to take him to the places he wants to go. Jik feels music has kept him alive and that if he wasn’t doing it his life might have went down darker paths. Music has also given him a strong foundation, goals and something to strive for; a challenge. To this day he has written hundreds of poems and songs and has performed in countless venues still working diligently toward his goals of someday seeing his music go global. The thing he wants most is for people to enjoy the same feeling he got the first time he sat down and listened to one of his favorite songs. A certain satisfaction that took over and made him want to get up and do something different with his life. Not all music is loved or even liked by everyone. I have no doubt in my mind that Jik is not just your average Hip Hop artist and that he will someday soon explode into the music industry and be recognized as one of the greatest songwriters and performers of our time.So keep and open mind and listen to what he has to say, because this guy is no joke and he truly is the real deal.
