    Super Not Cool
No pretty harmonies, no old ladies from the Valley, no matching suits/hawaiian shirts... Just guitar, bass, drums, reverb, a bit of distortion, some attitude, and a good time fueled by pints of the good stuff.

    Jet Packs
Heavily influenced by the vigor of Minutemen’s econo jams, The Widow Babies rock intricate, jovial riffs and inspired vocals.

    Bettina Koester

    Queen of Noise
John Peel called Bettina his "queen of noise", and that's just what she is. Take a voice like Marianne Faithfull's, add some dark and heavy guitars & beats, and you'll get an idea of what Koester sounds like.

    Kill the Autopilot
Driving and urgent, harsh, melodic and sometimes sarcastic. This dichotomous album, the 2nd release from this transatlantic trio is almost punk but too intelligent to be painted as that. Capturing their attention demanding live performance ... BUY IT NOW!

    mittageisen
    1981-1986 remastered
The tracks mixing the emerging Gothic sounds of the Banshees, Bauhaus and the Cure with the sparse electro of Kraftwerk. In general, it's slow, dark and morose with droning guitars and vocals, under-pinned by a sharp electro beat.
The wild 80's in Switzerland were shaped by music of bands, which used the chance - in the upwind of the musical 'culture revolution' of Punk and New Wave. – to create new and independent music. In this extremely creative time developed mittageisen from 1981 their own individual music style and became thereby one of the earliest darkwave/electro Goth bands. In March 1983 mittageisen published their 1st album, which gave to them extraordinarily positive criticisms. Besides the music the expressive lyrics in german-language made the songs and the group famous. After various personnel changes mittageisen surprised in January 1985 with the 12” 'automaten' and a new electro sound. The single found the way to the legendary John Peel show on BBC Radio 1 and became an Indie-Disco hit. This new double CD contains 19 remastered songs, 6 of them previously unreleased, from the years 1981-1986. The two CDs are available in a fold-out digipak-sleeve with the cover-image of the 1.LP and a carefully made 24-page booklet incl. band-fotos and informations about each song. Detailed information about the group and their music can be found on their website or wikipedia.
