In-Flight Safety
We Are An Empire, My Dear
The result of the artistic seclusion - an epic 12-track collection of orchestral pop songs rich in beauty, instrumentation, politic and heart, In-Flight Safety have crafted an auditory call to arms.
In-Flight Safety soars to great heights with their latest, We Are An Empire, My Dear. Last winter Halifax's four-piece took to the proverbial woods and recorded in Fox River, NS with producer Laurence Currie. The result of the artistic seclusion is an epic 12-track collection of royal, orchestral pop songs.
Rich in beauty, instrumentation, politic and heart, In-Flight Safety have crafted an auditory call to arms. In these seemingly ambiguous times the fever to connect to one another is fierce, art is the only answer.
The crew of creative navigators –John Mullane (singer/guitarist), Brad Goodsell (bass), Daniel Ledwell (pianist/guitarist/keyboardist) and Glenn Nicholson (drums) –explore the un-chartered terrain of wealth, greed, love, faith and humanity's ability to change. The musical mapmakers have crafted We Are An Empire, My Dear and share their findings, via their label Night Danger, late January.
In-Flight Safety released their Vacation Land debut EP in 2003. The quartet of cautionary pilots followed up with The Coast Is Clear, in 2006, earning Juno and MuchMusic Video Award nomination and three East Coast Music Awards.
We Are An Empire, My Dear is a testament of devotion.
