    Suckin' Out Venom - Weapons Grade Rock & Blues. "The first time I saw 'Blue on Black' I thought 'damn these guys are good'. I wasn't alone - the audience loved them. Second time I watched them do a fine job opening for Deep Purple in Plymouth U.K. Now they have produced 'Suckin out Venom' and I am very happy to recommend it. Cheers, ig (Ian Gillan). December 2009 sees Blue on Black (UK based Blues/Rock power trio) release “SUCKIN’ OUT VENOM” the long awaited follow up to their successful live album “In Transit”. “SUCKIN’ out VENOM” features 11 original tracks with a running time of over 55 minutes and featuring those powerful guitar licks, so long the signature sound of the band. "Wrecking Ball" - Opens the show with a fast moving groove and great hook. "Angel on Hold" - A melodic, power ballad written for the love of a daughter. "Jivin the Blues" - Those opening chords hit you right between the eyes. "Sleep When I’m Gone" - A track full of energy despite its title. "Slow fuse" – A funky little instrumental with rock overtures. "Sweet Little Bucket Seat – With slide guitar cutting through the track at a searing pace. "Yankee Dollar" – A cautionary tale of the price of love with country/rock overtones. "Graveyard Shift" – A Ghostly rocker, sending rock chills up and down the spine. "Pacific Coast Highway" - Another cool groove with Searing Guitar wake up calls "Shakespeare" – If the bard was into blues rock he would have strutted his stuff to this one. "Unsaid" – A haunting song written for a great artist and friend. This CD is the culmination of the Band's passion to play their Music (including a fight back from leukaemia and severe septicaemia) and keep up the "Operating Temperature" to deliver their trade mark "Weapons Grade" Rock and Blues.
