J.Q. Public
Babble On Babel On Babylon
J.Q. Public, “the band in the street,” takes whatever music is at hand—blues, folk, reggae, electronic, flamenco, or good ol’ rock & roll—and puts it to use.
The band known as J.Q. Public is culled from the buskers, traveling minstrels, vagabonds, squatters, and musical road warriors of southwestern France. The shifting cast of group members includes French, English, Spanish, Corsican, Czech, and American players. On Babble On Babel On Babylon, their first effort, the group offers its manifesto, in music that is as richly varied as this international blending would suggest.
