    Reverend Kill

    His Blood, Our Victory
Reverend Kill is a Tortured Soul. A Gunslinger in the Old West. He was hunted down and murdered running for his freedom through the rugged mountains. It took 43 mens lifes to fianally take him down. That is on top of all the Sinners lifes he took as well. But that was GODS WILL. He started out a preacher and a kind gentle soul. But the Old West soon hardened this kind man and threw him over the edge of sanity. Too many innocent people were hurt and killed. Too many women raped. Too many children slaughtered. He decided it was time to hurt back. The light at the end of the tunnel is out the window. Now it is the smoke at the end of the barrell at checkout time. Always remembering to embed a upside down cross in his victims foreheads and saying a few words to ensure their safe passage to HELL.............

    Waking The Cadaver
    Perverse Recollections Of A Necromangler
Goregrind grindcore death metal slamming gore groove
Hailing from Shore Points, New Jersey, Waking The Cadaver was formed in January 2006 after a discussion amonst Nick Palmateer (guitar), Steve Vermilyea (bass), Dennis Morgan (Drums), Jerry Regan (guitar), and Don Campan (Vocals) to start a sound that would be brutal and uncompromising to its listeners. Shortly after forming, Waking The Cadaver quickly wrote material, started playing live, and gaining a name for themselves in the local scene. Upon good responce, WTC went to record their 2 song self titled demo. As promised, they proved to be a powerful force in the underground for the year 2006. With a live performance that is nonstop, WTC is truely a moshers delite, ultra violence amonst many, fans know a WTC show is never a dull moment. Dawning upon 2007 Waking The Cadaver is ready to hit the studio again, this time to record their debut full length, "Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler" An album that will show a devastating, relentless style of brutal death metal. Fans of WTC can expect a Morbidly sick, perverted, slamming, guttural display of masculinity, and control known as "slamming gore groove" showing that winter 2007 is going to indeed be slammin season. gore not core!!! CD REVIEW!!! would like to begin by expressing my deepest appreciation for a triumphant musical accomplishment made by the fellas of Waking The Cadaver. Not only did they deliver a superb opus of true underground brutal death metal, but they did so by piercing through every obstacle without remorse that they have been facing since the birth of this band. I would also like to send out my gratitude to every person out there that so diligently applied their time to creating their own negative feedback towards this band; this includes the awesome anti-wakingthecadaver youtube videos, and many other forms of negative media and global rantings created to defame Waking The Cadaver. Your work is highly appreciated and as a voice for the band, I must tell you that not only did you make this band superior to you but you also greatly helped their promotional campaign, because to be successful in a market, you must weigh out negative and positive feedback and ultimately, any kind of project needs both at various proportions to solidify their product. Thank you. The Band: At the beginning, I was truly amazed at the fact that a 30 second rehearsal recording, first published when they had just created their myspace profile, had already gotten them attention from highly acclaimed underground death metal labels for possible record deals. Even so, they declined these offers and continued on a solo mission to prove themselves to the masses. They stayed true to themselves and their place of origin, Shore Points NJ. They represent their town of birth and perpetually do so by honoring it through their music and intensively performing at gigs throughout countless states with no discrimination towards any other bands. Waking the Cadaver is a perfect example of what death metal is and should be: Friendship, Companionship and most importantly, a delivery of high quality performances. Their live performances are a lethal force that I am yet to see matched for the quality and dedication at which these fellas perform live falls on the same caliber as some of brutal death metal's greatest like Internal Bleeding, Devourment, and Digested Flesh. The Pig Squeels: Lets speak about this new infection that has been saturating the future of brutal death metal. Yes, on the two song demo that was released before the highly anticipated full length, it was full of pig squeels-type vocals. I am not big fan of this style but as a brutal death metal veteran and enthusiast, I can tell every single person out there that even though Don Campan was using this style, he was doing them at a caliber much superior to most other vocalist out there that were doing the same. His pattern structuring and the strength behind his voice layed out a massive end-product to the tracks. Much time has passed and Don Campan was evolved into one of the East Coast's most powerful and most guttural vocalists with a dynamic range that just cannot be fucked with. Not only has he developed more authentic guttural sounds that compares to no one, he has become a powerful performer who delivers a superb stage presence while every guttural verse can be heard with no room for error. The Album: Flawless. What a brutal death metal album should be. Track after track of (in Devourment terminology) "apocalyptic embludgeonment." A true east coast brutal death album of endless groove, bone crushing grinding riffs, and devastating slams coupled with pummeling percussion and a double barrel buck shot to the face of psychotic "gurgletations;" like Wayne Knupp would proudly say. He was a firm believer and supporter of Waking the Cadaver. He made sure that the band got his respect. If any of you know who Wayne Knupp was, then you should also know that by acquiring his approval, it was an honor and something to truly respect. Perhaps, most of you are in dire need to shit on this album because you feel threatened at the quality of it and better yet, because you could not come up with some of the things that this band has accomplished yourselves. The simplicity, the audacity, and brutal execution of slam death music that is prominent about this band. They pay tribute to the old and the new alike. They are followers of brutal death's forefathers and it shows on every track. On a final note, I expect the guys, my friends, of Waking the Cadaver to continue their hard work and dedication to this music, that most of us have sold our soul to. Let us pay tribute to the legends that made it possible for modern death metal to exist; furthermore, lets be careful about what we say about people and instead, let us help each other out on preserving this music than childishly creating drama that will get us nowhere. Waking the Cadaver are members of the new generation of brutal death metal and The Guttural Syndicate will continue to support their cause in every possible way. Most importantly, they have priority in my list of which bands get to play any T.G.S. gig, so expect them to be regulars of any TGS musical endeavor. Waking the Cadaver has proven themselves to T.G.S. through hard work and strong devotion to the advocacy of brutal death metal on an international scale and they will always be represented and spoken for by The Guttural Syndicate: to promote, to advocate, to spread, and to expose, their product.
