    Believer's Lane
    Homemade eclecticity
To fans of new and old, welcome back to another odyssey presented to you, with limited commercial interruption, by Sulek. The new album is entitled Believer’s Lane. The reason why is very simple and yet it is complex in that it is based on a simplistically complex philosophy called Believing (for which we would like to take some credit in founding). Believing, or the motto “Just Believe”, is something that we believe in and it is when you just do not know what is going to happen, or how you are going to get something done, etc., and you say “Just Believe” or “Believe it” and believe that is will work out for the best. Then, regardless of the outcome everything is still great and happy because even though maybe the outcome was not what you had originally hoped for, the fact that you had believed that you could do it and/or that it would work is all that matters and therefore you have nothing to feel bad, ashamed, or sad about. As for why the album is called Believer’s Lane, it is because it is something that I yelled during one of the last levels of Super Mario Brothers 3 on the original Nintendo. Pat and I were playing the game at my grandma’s and we had made it to one of the final levels (we can’t remember which one exactly, but we did beat the game mind you) and it is on a floating ship and you have to dodge all these crazy bombs and beaver people and such all the while the screen from the left is moving in on you so you cannot stay in one place or you will die and it is very very intense. So, there came this one part where it was pretty much just a ledge and open sky to fall in and the walls were closing in so I just sprinted with Mario and when I jumped I yelled, “Believer’s Lane!” and then I opened my eyes and I had landed on a little strip of happiness on the other side and Pat and I just laughed uncontrollably for many hours. It was amazing. Furthermore, this album is for everyone who believes in something. No matter what your views are on anything (like one day you could fly, Santa Claus, love, etc.) as long as you believe, then nothing is impossible. This album goes out to those who are believers, people who will put there heart’s desires out there and go for what they want with their perceived best intentions and regardless of the outcome still come out on top. Additionally, this album goes out to those who are yet to be believers in hopes that it may inspire you in some offbeat way to start believing. Thanks everyone for your continued support and enjoy the album. -Chris Winberg
