    Come Gather Round Us
    Remember Where You Are
Edgy acoustic songs rich with three-part harmonies. Accordian and wurlizter electric piano combined with virtuosic guitar playing create a fresh backdrop for unusual vocal lines.
This band is not looking forward to a major-label debut. Iconoclastic and staunchly anti-establishment, COME GATHER ROUND US conjures the naive political angst of the early 1960s, when songwriters thought they could change the world and they gave a sh*t enough to try. Playing in livingrooms and DIY venues, these four musicians erase the boundary line between audience and performer, life and art. REMEMBER WHERE YOU ARE, the debut album from Come Gather Round Us, features compelling songwriting, alternately imaginatively complex and endearingly simple. Singers Catherine Feeny, the Challenge of Feral Green and Mike Danner weave intricate tapestries of harmony, while Jon Neufeld (Jackstraw), an unsung hero of modern flatpicking, lends an adventurous yet unerring musicality to the underpinnings. Each album is lovingly handprinted from a linoleum-cut designed by the band, and comes as a 2-cd set, including one "Cut" version of the recording and one "Uncut." The "Uncut" version of the album includes conversations caught between takes during the marathon live session that yielded "Remember Where You Are." There are voices. There are guitars. There are reeds. There are hammers. The total is more than the sum of its parts. COME GATHER ROUND US.
