  • Sounds like no other
    author: Tom Brown

Amazing variety of edgy songs, with strong rhythms, wailing guitar, and off-beat lyrics, as you would expect from the main original Blue Oyster Cult songwriter, and drummer, Al Bouchard. "Lady of the Harbor" should be a hit, but we live in a strange time, don't we ? Deborah Frost's vocals are the icing on the cake.

  • Most underrated songwriters of rock
    author: TopRock

People who complain that they don't write songs like they used to have never been turned on to the Brain Surgeons. On this ambitious two-disc set, Albert Bouchard and Deborah Frost prove themselves one of the most underrated songwriters who are capable of embracing as many classic genres or styles as Jagger/Richard, Lennon/McCartney or anyone who ever set foot in the Brill Building. Too bad they've never been discovered by a similar mass audience. But that may be why their rabid following adores them!
