Love your music, I was dating your cousin Debra T. I went with her to Grune when you first came up. I will go again to see you guys. You sound great, keep it up. Best wishes to you and all your family.
Catch a Rising Star on the Texas Horizon!
author: DeniseThe self-titled Tejas Brothers CD is a splendid debut effort for the North Texas foursome. This is one of the most polished introductory albums I have heard in years. Each song is impressive in its own right, and the combined result is a Tex-Mex treat for the ears. The band's accordion player and vocalist, Dave Perez, penned 8 of the 11 songs on this CD. All of the tracks are great. My favorites include the beautiful ballad "Love Me or Leave Me Alone," the good-riddance story "Get Gone," the toe-tapping "Boogie Woogie Mamacita," and the folklore tale set to music "La Llorona." If you purchase this CD, you will not be disappointed.

It's the english version of the good old fashion chillin in the backyard, drinking a few cold cervezas, crying cause the girlfriend don't love me no mores, your bros saying forget about her cause she ain't worth it anyways, Tejano songs that I grew up on. I love it! I can't wait to hear what the second CD sounds like!

WOW
author: SusanThe bonus at the end of track 11 alone makes the CD worth it. A truly fantastic CD with great accordion sounds and powerful guitar work. I love the sound Dave and the guys magically create.
Wonderful album!
author: Kjell HorlinA mix of country, rock and a little blues and on top of that accordeon, twangin' guitars and strong vocals and songs is the recipe to a great TexMex album with no filler tracks. If you are a fan on Texas Tornados and bands like them...make sure not to miss this one. This is one of the greatest releases so far this year. It is very difficult to pick favorite songs from an album like this but the opening tune "I Can't Sleep", the rockin' "Get Gone", a very great cover of Lazy Lester's "Same Thing Could Happen To You" and the swingin' "Boogie Woogie Mamacita". Then turn to bluesy sound in "Doing A Real Good Job". eight of the songs are written by the accordean player and singer Dave Perez and I'm impressed! No need to skip tracks here, just play over and over again and a big smile will appear on your face. Don't let this CD stay out of your record collection. Great job guys! We love to hear more of stuff like this soon! Kjell Horlin, MCWC Country Radio Sweden www.mcwc-radio.com
GREAT CD!
author: Freddy IversenIf you still miss Texas Tornados with Doug Sahm and Freddy Fender, your waiting is over.Tejas Brothers is here to make you happy again. This is the best country cd release in a long time. Great songs, great singing and great playing. Sharp edge guitar combine with a beautiful accordion. And in the bottom, a steady rhythm. This is Texas music and i love it. Chris Zalez and his friends in Tejas Brothers have given a new birth to Country Music. So long, Nashville Pop Country. The real stuff is back on track. The only thing missing in this cd is the song "Little Genie". But hopefully on the next one.. els you have great songs like "Get Gone" and "I Cant sleep". And a beautiful ballad named "Love me or leave me alone". Tejas Brothers also pays tribute to the great Lazy Lester in his song, "Same thing could happend to you". If you feel sad and lonely just buy this cd and you are happy again!
AMAZING!!!!!
author: Thomas OyenHonestly, I have more than 1600 cd's in my collection, all of music that I love, but this cd, well, I heard some soundclips about a year ago, and I've been waiting ever since... This is the PERFECT combination of accordion, a very sharp edged guitar sound and some great singin'. The sound on the cd is also very good, you need to buy it to get the best of it, the sound clips here aren't that good. PS. My girlfriend always tells me I don't show my real emotions, I never cry and so on. Well, when I heard "Love me or leave me alone" I felt a tear in my eye for sure, what a beautiful song! There's also a great Lazy Lester cover in here, and my favourite song will forever be "I can't sleep". A friend of mine has already "promised" me he will bring them to Norway next year. I'll keep my fingers crossed... Thomas Norway
