CD IN STOCK. ORDER NOW. Will ship immediately.

Bluesy jump r'n'b with a touch of swing and even a hint of be-bop -- danceably fun but still deep.

notes

Terence McArdle will delight swing dancers, roots music fans, and blues lovers alike with his swinging guitar, rough vocalizing, swinging shuffle grooves, and pulsing horns -- a sound both retro and modern. His music is danceably fun but still bluesy and deep.

"You Better Believe It" spotlights McArdle's voice and guitar in several styles and contexts: a jump r'n'b band with horns; a 40s style cocktail blues combo with piano, upright bass, and brushed drums; a very funky, contempory blues rhythm section; and a Chicago blues band with harmonica front and center.

The songs include fresh interpretations of classics by Rosco Gordon, T-Bone Walker, Guitar Slim, Clarence "Bon Ton" Garlow, John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson, and Tampa Red among others plus two original instrumentals (Boogie For Pee Wee and Mimona) destined to become classics for blues guitar fans everywhere.

I hired Terrence to play for my wedding reception after hearing this CD. We did not want a "wedding band" but someone who could throw down and really make a great party. He did not disappoint. Everyone, even all the old folks, were dancing all night long! We were having so much fun with Terrence that we closed our own wedding reception.

Terrence McArdle does a great job presenting a swingin' jump Blues CD. Good vocals and guitar work. A nice blend of covers and original tunes.

This CD was just awesome, Terrence McArdle knows what jump r'n'b is about, what a great time we had listening to it the first time. Can't wait to see him in person someday.
