notes
* It's like Sunday afternoon at your favorite cafe... or like Thursday night at that swank little groove club downtown...
* It's like a rainy day staring out your window... or like a cool evening drive as the stars are coming out...
* It's that song you swear you must've heard before 'cuz you're already singin' along... but you know you just got it
Tru Sol is a songwriting collaborative that's currently based in Houston and performs both as an R&B/jazz acoustic group and/or R&B-flavored rock band. The collaborative foundation is songwriter/vocalist, Jerry Richard, and songwriter/musician, Jose "Rio" Madrigal. Jerry & Jose met in college and while performing together in an a cappella group, their common passion for original song writing led to collaborative efforts. Since that time, they've developed their sound and style into music that is simply seductive; familiar but fresh.
Tru Sol's debut CD, "This Feeling", includes the singles "You're a Little Too Late," and "Baby Girl," which have received radio play on Houston radio stations, KMJQ Houston, KTSU Houston, and KPFT Houston. Nominated for Best Funk/Soul/R&B band in the 2003 Houston Press Music Awards, the group has been enjoying recent club and festival bookings throughout Southeast Texas and Louisiana.

Had me groovin' all around the house! Great job, guys! Fun!!
author: Dew Point ProductionsGreat mix! Sounds awesome with bass boost on. Lyrics are sweet. One of the best Indie artists I've heard in a long time.
Truly Great
author: AliciaI listened to this CD all the way through--something I rarely do. I loved it...now I just have to pry it away from someone so I can listen to it again. Great music, lyrics, and the singing was excellent. One of my favorite groups now :-D
Strong, beautiful masterpiece!

Something worth adding to your collection
author: Jonathan Sanders - Gods Of Music.comTru Sol is Jerry Richard and Jose Madrigal, an r&b duo who I expect to hear a lot from in the future. They’ve got firm control on their craft, putting out tracks that have both commercial appeal and catchy hooks that will please your ear time and again.Overall, this is a well done first release, an enjoyable listen, something worth adding to your collection. Best of all, it allows Tru Sol room to grow from this point. I give it my seal of approval.

Dazzling!!!!
author: RoderickI was crazy about "Babygirl" and "You Might Think". So when does the video come out? Reminds me of strong airplay presence material on both these tracks; good quality, and captivating grooves. Good work!!

Amazing sounds from an aspiring group
author: Jason StutlerExcellent vibes on this CD. Jerry gave me this website to hear this CD, and from what I have heard, the tones and beats that come from his music are unlike any I have heard. Not to mention the fact that Jerry is the coolest of cats, but the way his music hits is luminous. Excellent songs, keep up the good work, Jerry.
These guys have a rich sound that continues to astound even me.
author: Someone Who Knows !!I've followed these guys for quite some time and the sound is really developing. I'm astounded by the richness and the clarity of the vocals. The ever changing, but very Jerry sound in the timing, and deliberateness of the presentation of the lyrics. Great for just listening to anytime.
CD showcases the incredible voice of Jerry Richard...
author: Larry HallockI predict "What Can I Do?," at least, is gonna soar the charts. A sound--and in particular, a voice--has to be distinctive. Whether as earthy as Nina Simone or as crystal as Ronnie Dyson, it has to be distinctive. Special. Definitive enough to set it apart from the ordinary. Jerry Richard's voice is exceptionally bright and flexible on this CD, definitive and addictive. If you like R&B with a contemporary touch, you'll love this CD. But in any case, you've got to get it just to hear that incredible voice.

soul sweet!
author: Roberto RodriguezA conservative taste to soul and harmony..it brings melody and class to a higher level, where one can appreciate the words and music combined.
