notes
This is a fantastic limited-edition collector's box set containing 37 live and unplugged performances on 3 CDs. Also included, a behind-the-scenes DVD with videos of some of the actual performances. Featured here are samples of regional stylists from Columbus, Cincinnati, and Nashville, the first in a series of recordings from the US midwest music corridor stretching from Detroit to Austin. You will hear everything from blues to bluegrass, rock, country, jazz, and swing. These recordings are untouched spontaneous performances from an invitation-only lineup of musical masters, newcomers and local legends. A great party collection.

For those who seek out compilation albums, you'll be hard-pressed to find a more steamy acoustic blues compilation than this gem right here. Delivering the ache of the delta more thoroughly than back-breaking farm work, deeply rooted in the tradition and honoring legends that came before (Robert Johnson, Charley Patton, Tommy Johnson, Son House), the album also ventures into modern folk blues and quiet jazzy numbers as well. From start to finish, this is one helluva show.
