CD IN STOCK. ORDER NOW. Will ship immediately.

Politically pointed spoken-word humor from the creators of RUSH LIMBAUGH IN NIGHT SCHOOL.

notes

It started as a challenge: Could Charlie Varon and David Ford create a show in 10 days? On day one, Charlie arrived with a handful of scraps of paper. On each one was written an idea, or a line, of the name of a character. Most were cryptic.

So Charlie starts improvising. A character emerges. They start tossing back and forth ideas about how to give the character his purest expression. Also jokes, sotires, emotional consequences.

On day 10, with script in hand, Chalie went on stage. This recording was made during the seventh performances, on February 2, 2002. The Marsh was packed that night, and the soup was cooking!

  • If you listen to the samples, you'll buy the CD

Warning: Listening to 2 minutes of music is one thing--you can quit any time. But listening to 2 minutes of any of these routines will make you determined to hear the rest. Don't start unless you've got the money to buy the CD. It's like drug dealers giving you a sample so you'll get addicted. These aren't just jokes, although they are very funny. They're fascinating character studies that are both cynical and optimistic, and you'll want to know more about each of these people as soon as your two minutes are up

If you're a regular or even drop-in visitor of 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" then you must make a point to familiarize yourself with Charlie Varon & David Ford's spoken word album, "Ten Day Soup". Taking a comic approach to politics, politics in the news and other irresistably vulnerable branches of social exploration, this one will get you chuckling when you might otherwise be hurling large objects.
