WAL T
So many things, so little time

Wal T's debut album, So many things, so little time, has been shaking the streets of Johannesburg & creating an ongoing buzz on the internet, since it's release in March 2004. Many people have been curious, hungry to know what the buzz is all about. And, so they listened to the CD & some of them asked a golden question: "Why didn't we know about this wonderful music before?". Here are some of our fans & the media had so say:

"There are a few catchy tracks, such as Let's go to the strip show, Prove them wrong & Hela chomi... there's no doubt that Wal T is talented..." The Sowetan newspaper (JHB, South Africa)

"Street Heat bumps. Wal T is hungry and gonna make it in this industry. Big Ups. Overall heat 5/5* Peace..." Si Aura aka Killah, Si Aura Studios
(Tacoma, Washington)

"So many things, so little time has an old school Hip Hop flava. The beats is cool and hype. It is truly of da hook Brother Wal T... I totally loved number two. Keep up the good work. Peace." F Benn, FNB Corporate (JHB, South Africa)

Wal T’s real name is Walter Mogane and he was born on 23 April 1976, in South Africa. He attended Sefika Lower Primary school in Molapo, and then attended Isaacson Higher Primary in Rockville. He then attended St Stithians College in Randburg & completed his Matric in 1994. He attended with the likes of Kabelo Mabalane, Tokollo Tshabalala & Zwai Bala & was in the same boarding house as them. The boarding house name was Mount Stephens. Wal T was in the same house choir with the above 3 TKZee members & the boarding house won all the house choir competitions during the 5 years of the high school. Wal T has 2 brothers & 2 sisters.

Wal T started writing music & built the Hunting Records Music Label in 1998 & has written over 90 songs to date. 17 of these songs appear on his debut Hip Hop album, “So many things, so little time”, which was released on 20 March 2004. More songs are being produced currently, by MCT & D.O.C.

In addition to rapping, Wal T also produces his music, writes lyrics, designs the Hunting Records web site, keeps accounting records for Hunting Records CC & manages the music & business affairs at Hunting.

On our label so far, there are 6 artists: myself, Wal T, D.O.C. (Disciples of Christ – a Hip Hop Gospel trio), Fikile, Nondumiso, Big Mike & MCT. The next artist to release an album under our music label is MCT.

Although we are dominantly a Hip Hop Music Label, we also add elements of Gospel, Hip Hop Kwaito, Rave, Dance, Reggae & R and B in our songs.

The lyrics were typed by Wal T & are available for FREE downloading from our web site.

We have already performed at the Oasis Pub (in Molapo, in March 2004), at the Elkah community hall (Rockville, in April 2004) & at the Tropicana Club in Fraser street, Johannesburg on 29 May 2004. Then we performed at Russells, Highgate in June 2004. In August 2004, we performed at 2 venues: at KwaMhlanga, KwaNdebele (where Alaska was also performing) & at the market theatre. This is where the buzz really started about our music. We have established a considerable amount of fans throughout these live performances. We would love to promote our music further, by coming to perform in the various venues outside South Africa. We aim to do this in the coming years.

Wal T is currently arranging for posters to be placed at hair salons, train stations, bus stops & school fences to boost our marketing. Also, he’s arranging for brochures that will be placed at internet cafes, music & non-music shops, night clubs & community halls. Advertising in the print media is also to be done in the near future. We will continue to spend time in further marketing & promoting our music world wide.
