notes
ELEGANTLY WASTED was formed under the name "Rock-n-Roll Soul" in Hollywood, California in late 1998, when four musicians came together who had the same burning passion for explosive rock music and energetic live shows.
"We all grew up seeing great live bands and we want to continue in that tradition" says front man Lenny J.
The band recorded and independently released the EP "AMPED" in 1999 with Producer Howard Karp, who has worked with such artists as Papa Roach, LifeHouse, SR 71 and Audioslave. The group then went on to promote them selves around Southern California and also completed two successful European tours, the first in 1999 and a second one in the fall of 2000.
They went on to honing their chops on the Los Angeles club circuit in 2001 and earned a reputation of always putting on a great live show for their audience. "We love playing live and want to make sure nobody goes home disappointed after a show," says guitarist Diana, who is also known as
Queen D. It doesn't matter if there is fifty or five hundred people in the crowd, we try to be our best at every show, adds Lenny J.
In 2002 they concentrated on writing fresh material and also recorded their debut full- length CD entitled "GREETINGS FROM A STRANGE PLACE" They also changed their name to "ELEGANTLY WASTED" to better suit the more fresh musical direction of the band. Co-produced by Howard Karp and Lenny J, the album is a great representation of what this band is all about - Modern rock with classic rock attitude.
Their music has been described as Foo Fighters and Guns n' Roses meets Lenny Kravitz.
"We think the fun has been missing in rock n' roll for a long time and we want to bring the party back to the people"
The Players:

author: J.C.Greetings from a Strange Place is one of the best new rock CD's i've heard in a long time. It's about time there is a new band to carry on the torch of rock n' roll. If you like fresh sounding music with a taste of classic rock this is the record for you. With an album like this rock n' roll will live forever. And remember, rock and roll ain't noise pollution.
