notes

Composer Warner David Jansen has been studying music since age 7. He first learned to play the piano, instructed by his mother who was a skilled concert pianist. Well trained in the piano and oboe by his teenage years, he went on to teach piano and later to play in a progressive rock band. He decided to quit the band to attend the Dick Grove School of Music, where he studied full-time for 3½ years; Jazz Piano, Composing and Arranging and Film Scoring. Since then he has gone on to score independent films, documentaries, and has just now released "Lasting Impressions", his first CD of original music.

  • "...touching a part of us we never knew existed!"
author: Jack Reilly - jazz pianist, composer, teacher, author

Mr. Jansen has a genuis for melody, harmony, and poetry, combined with a thorough knowledge of orchestration. We, the listner, bear witness to someone destined to make a mark in music. His music has an assurity about it and a profusion of beguiling features, especially in its architectural design. Jansen's music puts us in touch with a part of us we never knew existed... Highly recommended".
