JASON YUDOFF BIOGRAPHY
In 2004, Jason Yudoff released his debut album, a 13-song solo effort entitled 'Smoke Sex Water', to critical acclaim. A singer/songwriter from New York City, Jason and SSW were recognized on the Official 2005 Grammy Ballot in 8 categories, including Album of The Year and Best New Artist. SSW was featured in national and local publications like Keyboard Magazine, Music Connection, East Coast Rocker, Aquarian Weekly, Rock Record Collectors Association, to name a few. He graced the cover of Good Times Magazine, and was the subject of a half-hour interview show on National Public Radio. Two singles from SSW - "Pride" and "How I Want To Feel", charted on CMJ, and the album received airplay on over 100 college and internet radio stations. Jason put together a band - Jason Yudoff & The New Hotness – that continues to electrify audiences at many top NYC venues like The Bitter End, Knitting Factory, The Cutting Room, Crash Mansion, and Arlene’s Grocery, to name a few. He was selected to perform at the Songwriters Hall Of Fame’s New Writers Showcase, The South Street Seaport Music Festival, and has entertained the U.S. Marine Corps during Fleet Week at Central Park’s Summer Stage. At the end of 2005, Jason released a 55-minute live album called Jason Yudoff & The New Hotness: LIVE at The Cutting Room, which captured the raw energy and unmistakable passion of the band’s onstage persona.
