(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

A refreshing, energetic take on various genres of electronica; from straight-up dance, to melodic/epic trance, to breakbeat, and beyond. If you'd like to hear the electronica genres you know and love from an angle you haven't heard before, check this out.

notes

The music you will find on this album is not only influenced by the greats of electronica and my own ideas, but also by baroque, classical, and romantic composers, and even a few modern ones. This influence manifests itself in the form of more developed progressions, melodies, and harmonies, unlike the typically drawn-out, repetitive techno mixes prevalent these days. You could say I strongly believe in "quality over quantity" in the case of music, and I think that electronic music deserves just as much attention outside of the club scene as within it, and should be interesting and enjoyable to listen to anytime.

Does this idea work?

According to independent artists, listeners, and critics, my music is: "elevated", "evolved", "brilliant", "masterful", "legendary", "exciting", "DNA for any serious dance floor", "stunning", "alluring", "distinctive", and "inspired", among other things.

You'll have to decide for yourself.

Zircon has some real potential. More than being technically excellent and demonstrating a real thoughtfulness in composition, this CD is plainly fun to listen to. It's the perfect music for the car or for studying late at night -- it keeps you awake. I think it would be good dance music too, especially for a techno-rave style shindig. The CD contains a good balance of tracks, all very high-energy. Too much techno today is repetive -- every track sounds like the one before it. Phasma Elementum smashes the repetitive-techno mold -- you can't get bored of it. Zircon works diverse melodies and styles into a CD that flows well nonetheless. Wether you're a techno fanatic or you just want to own one good, classic example of the techno genre, this is the CD for you. You won't be wasting your money with this one -- definetly worth it.

Zircon brings variety to the table with this hot new album. This man knows his styles of electronica, and excells in all of them. Personally, when I'm listening to a lot of the mainstream crap out there I'm bored to tears from the ridiculous repetition. Zircon knows how to change it up and make it interesting, while still staying true to the style. This album has everything from the short and satisfying to the epic and amazing. Whether you want to dance the night away or kick back and listen to some quality electronica, you won't be disappointed when you buy this album.
