notes
"Antigravity takes you on a wild energetic ride and is well worth the price of admission." - Patrick McFarland, Ad Terras Per Aspera
"An album of the “chillax at the end of a night out” or “up all night to finish this damn project” variety, Antigravity by zircon is well constructed and flows easily from beginning to end. Before you know it, the sun is coming up and you have to go to work... Antigravity is definitely going in my electronica library." - R.N., The Compendium Magazine
The much-anticipated follow up to the award-winning IMPULSE PRIME is here!
ANTIGRAVITY is the musical culmination of two full years of work, featuring over 50 minutes of soaring, pulsating, genre-bending rhythms and melodies. Though most of the songs focus on sharp, driving drumlines - phat beats, as it were - the genres included range from big beat, to trance, drum n' bass, new age/world fusion, and more. Regardless of style, zircon continues to apply stunning attention to detail in his complex sonic textures and dynamic songwriting, which draws its inspiration from artists like BT, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, The Crystal Method, Ils, Pendulum, and others.
This time around, zircon is not the only musician forging evolved electronic soundwaves. With vocalist Jillian Goldin (www.jilliangoldin.com) powering two of the album's most anthemic tracks - "Breathing You In" and "Antigravity" - this is a side of zircon that you haven't heard before, but are sure to enjoy. Guitar prodigy Cain McCormack provides some truly overdriven instrumentals on the drum-n-bass song "Depth Charge", one of the album's darker, yet still organic, tracks. And on the Moby/Fatboy Slim-inspired "Nitronic", Jimmy Hinson (www.biggiantcircles.com) tears it up with some funky fresh synth soloing.
If you are a longtime zircon fan, you will not be disappointed with the next stage of musical development and refinement contained in ANTIGRAVITY. If you are a new listener and enjoy electronic music to any degree, you'll love the blend of hard-hitting beats, ethereal pads, and intricate blends of real and artificial sounds that has become zircon's signature style.

Brilliant
author: Sreyas KrishnanThis album is one of the most amazingly diverse compilations of electronic music I have ever heard. Most of it seems to lean towards the melodic breakbeat genre (like Mindbender) but there's even some funk (Throwdown), trance (Breathing You In) and new age/ambient (Antigravity). If nothing else, this album is worth getting just for those four tracks as well as Art of Zen, but there's not a single track that I don't love on this album. Welcome to the spotlight zircon, your rise to fame is imminent!
Definitely worth buying from the States
author: TozznokI think this is a brilliant album, and deserves to be more widely available. It does remind me of BT, as the site suggests, but it's not quite the same. zircon has made some brilliant pieces of music here. I would hold back the final star because a slight change of pace would help; slowing down a bit or adding another song with vocals might be nice, but I just don't feel like being critical about this album, so I'll give five.
Perfect Balance
author: Thomas DePauwThis album is very refined, and the tracks on the album are just that dang good. Andrew has definitely expanded his talents in almost every way, although I still sincerely enjoy Phasma Elementum and Impulse Prime. This is a must get!
:))
author: AndyThis is a must for the 'I don't do techno' crowd - Great tracks, great production.
An Epic Journy Through Electronic Music
author: Mattias Häggström GerdtZircon really knows what he's doing. His ability to mix so many different styles with what has become his trademark sound is nothing less than amazing. From the epic Breathing You In to the adrenaline pumping Depth Charge he has you on the hook all the time. Anyone with an interest in electronic music should check this album out.
Definition of Electronic Music
author: JaredZircon has done an amazing job creating this CD. I find it hard pressing the forward track button, because they are all so good. Jillian Goldin's vocals go hand-in-hand the with the two tracks she is featured in. I only wish she was in more tracks. But that's not to say Zircon's purely instrumental songs are lacking the oomph! This CD has a good variety. I can't recommend it enough.
zircon Expands Trance
author: Wesley ChoThe music found on this album exudes of evidence that the supposedly stagnant trance genre has massive room for expansion. This album is not for those for the weak of musical vision and should find enjoyment with anyone with a matured understanding of music.

Antigravity is a great name, this makes me feel just like soaring around. The vocals are unbelievable. More! More!
finally realized potential
author: asdlIt seemed like Zircon's first 2 albums were leading up to this one; he's always had the production chops, but when it came to melody, it always seemed like he was holding back. Well, the gloves are off and not only does it have some ass-stomping beats, but there are plenty of memorable melodic lines. Highlights for me are the opening and closing tracks, as well as The art of zen and depth charge. Speed of light and Nitronic are also both very good.

Nice improvement , an album enjoyable as a whole. A must have if you like electronic music and/or Zircon.
A must have damnit!!
author: Alex ShtokalkoAndrew Aversa's work is to say the least - incredible. No doubt, there's a ton of other artists out there that'd grow green with envy over the talent that Mr. Aversa (Zircon)has. If you like this style of music, then don't hesitate to buy Antigravity.
Will truley leave you hovering in midair.
author: SeanZircon has an incredible knack for simple, yet haunting, mind bending, uplifting melodies. Where Impulse Prime had these on only a few pieces, Antigravity has them on almost all of them. As if that wasn't enough, Jillian provides the same effect with her incredible vocals, which are very well blended with the feel of the song, the abstractness of the lyrics meshing perfectly with the music. Anyone who enjoys electronic music MUST have this album. Like antigravity, it holds you in the air from the very beginning, and does not let you go until the end.
More than prime.
author: ArtukeiI can’t yet say if this is better than Impulse Prime, but it’s certainly an evolution from it. Impulse Prime prided itself on big, heavy, in-your-face, take-no-prisoners beats. Antigravity has plenty of that and more. Tracks from every corner of the electronica genre mean something for everyone. Prelude casts ambiance. Throwdown brings the funk. Depth Charge and Warhead kick a little ass. Then Art of Zen and Antigravity (the title cut) serve up some mellow new-age to soothe you into a blissful finale. The special guest cameos are superb and something that’ll make this a no-second-thoughts buy for any OCRemix faithful (Jillian Goldin's voice is as enchanting as ever). So, although I'm not prepared to say that Antigravity surpasses Impulse Prime, it's still just as awesome! A must have for all zircon fans (and pixietricks fans).
Electronic music at its finest!
author: JerryAndrew demonstrates his knack for awesome electronic music in his latest release, "Antigravity". He covers many different genres; all performed with technical mastery, yet they all sound like his own. The two most "anthemic" tracks make the CD worth buying alone. Highly Recommended!
