On her latest CD release, “Here with You,” Boston singer-songwriter Zola stretches her vocal talent and compositional palette like never before.
"Although one might call every song a love song, the subtle variations in theme run from the sultry, to the sweetly romantic, to the joyous celebration of friendship, while managing to slip in a few uptempo dance tunes along the way.
Nor does Zola shy away from setting her evocative voice to confronting the pain of unrequited love or the wistful sadness of separation and goodbye . Her stunning performances are accompanied by musicians Doug Hammer, Steve Chaggaris, Dave Landoni, Trent Austin and Arnie Krakowsky - whose tasteful accompaniment ranges from the sparse piano backing on some tracks to the rich, lush jazz-blues arrangements, picking up tempo to a rhythmic swinging Latin salsa and uptempo dance tunes.

I was blown away. Great performances by everyone, on this CD!
