ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
California based Chassidic Rock Band "8th Day" was formed By Marcus
Brothers Shmuel and Benzi in 2004. They released their debut album
"Trach Gut" in 2005 and toured the country uplifting young and old
with their fresh sound.
The songs are all original, written and performed by Shmuel and Benzi.
With some great musicians backing them up, they also have their
brother's Eli, Chaim, Zalman and Yossi who all sing backup on their
records.
8th Day just released their follow up album entitled "Brooklyn".
Critics have been raving about it and the fans seem to agree.

About the Name: There was once a king who made a seven-day banquet for all his subjects, but asked his closest friends to stay a little longer and make an eighth day. Our Sages apply this image to explain the difference between the seven days of Sukkot and the concluding festival, called Shemini Atzeret, the "eighth day."

Jewish mysticism says that the number seven alludes to nature and the number eight alludes to above nature. Nowadays it's still us and them, but on the 8th day it'll be just you and me, and when the sun won't set, you'll know it's my eighth day, and when your songs won't end, you'll know it's my eighth day.
