If You See Something Say Something

by 1monkey1

Conceived as a record/homage/time capsule to the wonderful Bush years, If You See Something transcends the acoustic guitar strumming protest music of the 1960’s with loops, soundscapes, and sonic beauty.

Album Notes
Some music is not about money.
Some music is not about popularity.
Some music provides permanent evidence of or information about past events.

Unable to accept collective denial and hypocrisy, 1monkey1 presents us with a darker look at ourselves and our country. As much as we pretend 2001-2009 didn’t happen, and we don’t talk about why and how so many people died, it did happen. And a lot of it is probably going to continue.

When you want the history you can read the books, but music gives us a better idea of the emotions created by events. If You See Something Say Something has songs about the past (2749_WTC, Spooks, and Remember), the present (Race War, Too, and The Wheel of War) and the future (Thought Crimes & Cameras, Makin’ Terrorists, and War Criminal).

Music is sound organized through time, and 1monkey1 wants to give you some beautiful sounds to wrap around the bitter pill. That’s the least he could do.
