Album Notes
2Hurt is a 2 piece band, formed by the rock veteran Paolo Bertozzi (Former guitarist of the legendary italian punk band Fasten Belt) and the violinist Laura Senatore. This debut album is a tribute to what we used to call “border music”. The record is a collection of desertic sound, where all instruments are used in a kind of minimalistic way, and where the deep voice of Paolo declares his love for people like Mark Lanegan or Tom Waits. Musically, the album is truly cinematic. Listen to the opening track the first comparation could be with Ry Cooder score for Wenders movie Paris Texas. All instruments are played by Paolo Bertozzi, apart from the Laura’s violin which is the perfect instruments to make this songs a bit tender and full of sweet melancholy. This album is a great debut, in its simplicity and genuine tribute to the sound that comes across the border. Maybe will not change the world, but surely will help to live better for the time being.

This collection offers more variety, subtler arrangements and ideas, and a great sound in particular.
2000 miles from home, and Cigarette burns my fingers in the specific context of these songs, prove that 2hurt seems to have the capacity of making an extra dimension of ballads and articulate psychedelic sound.
Finally,what a great surprise!!!

Excellent work,great sound.

flavio sarti

For an old fan of Fasten Belt this Cd is really a big change. In this work Paolo Bertozzi fine guitarist and song writer give us something different .A collection of darken, charming simple and dazzling songs.Acoustic and electric guitars a cavernous voice sound and a great work of the new discovery violinist Laura Senatore
Hope to listen the band live soon (Bologna?)I remember in mid 90’s a great gig from Fasten Belt
at the Rimini rock club Velvet opening act for the Australians Hoodoo Gurus.
Ok, 2hurt rocks and Words in freedom loop in my iPod
Thanks Flavio.

This album is brilliant, dark, hipnotic, noisy,a simply demonstration how originality can still find a way.
