2ra (aka Dannyblueyes) is in a league of his own. He pushes the limits of creativity that can only be deemed as an experiment out of control (whether you like it or not who gives a phuck lets watch the experiment!). It's like 2ra has formed a sub Hip Hop genre all in his own. With that said, listen before you attempt to put a finger on what his music embodies. You need to have an acquired taste to appreciate the art that he's bringing. "Skeletons on the Mic" combats religious dogma, social issues, attacks the secret orders and social deception, while at times doing it from the veil of a spiritual/Christian point of view. 2ra gives us a great roller coaster ride 'til the end that at first I was reluctant to take but happy that I went along for the ride.
"Changes," pretty much sums up the entire essence of the album, which is an ingenious poem that is droppin' serious knowledge (a must listen). The production is unique and lends a dark eerie feel through out the album. Not your typical boom bap, but a merge of many different genres with a hip hop aura at the forefront. As stated, if you're use to the norm and can't open your mind's ear to "newness" then this is not for you ... play it safe "Oh yea of little faith!" On the otherhand, those of us who seek difference will appreciate "Skeletons on the Mic" for an attempt to go left when most artist are adament in going right.
