ABOUT THIS ALBUM


Album Notes
In 2011 the group released their new album entitled “Saperavi”, rich on poetry of leading Georgian poets and writers Galaktioni Tabidze, Shota Rustaveli, Vaja Pshavela. The new album released by the group features fourteen tracks recorded by the group under leadership of their versatile frontman Niaz Diasamidze. The new release in style of Georgian ethno folk consists of elements of reggae and can be seen as one of the most interesting world music acts of the passed year.
The musicians involved in the recording of the album are Kaki (drums), Ucha, Pako and Levan (bass guitars), Achiko and Avtandil (guitar), Soso (accordeon), Sandro (flute), Niaz (panduri, piano, vocals), Yamina and Nadia (vocals), Lasha and Giga (vocals), Mesi (voice).
Poetry: Vaja Pshavela, Shota Rustaveli and Galaktion Tabidze.
Translation: Sergo Tsuladze.
Sound director: Levan Kikvidze.
Graphic design: Luca, Niaz and Spaco.
