ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Q: Can people from Wisconsin play bluegrass? A: Lightning From The North. This is the 3rd release from Milwaukee's favorite own streetgrass outfit. With even more matured songwriting and instrumentation...this release is everything you love about their first two albums done even better! Songs of the road, of hard-living, of poverty, and of struggle in-and-out...there all here. Hard hitting tunes for hard-hitting folks. If it doesn't get you movin',...call the coroner. This is Streetgrass!

3rd times a charm!!
The .357 boys are maturing nicely. This album is just as good as the first two, but with strong musicianship and song writing. The new mandolin player, Billy Cook, is incredible! Do yourself a favor and go see these fellers live! You will not be disappointed!

Another great album
Like the title says... another great album from the 357 guys... its been pretty awesome to watch these guys shape themselves into what they are today... dirty bluegrass.. just the way i love it

Fantastic!!!
This record lives up to the high standards .357 has set for themselves in the past. The same energetic, infectious take on hardcore bluegrass, but with more in depth lyrics, melody and musicianship. Billy Cook is a worthy replacement for Jayke Orvis, Derek Dunn's songwriting has more depth than ever, RIck Ness is a stand-up bass playin' animal, and Joe Huber's fiddling is a great addition to his kick-ass banjo style. Buy this CD, and don't miss a chance to see these guys live!
