Space

by Adam Harth

I composed this album on an analog synthesizer, utilizing all of the knobs, slides, and buttons to create in real time sound manipulations, as it was being recorded. I treated the music as a scientific experiment getting the fabric properties of sound

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
More than any other piece of music, I've written this work is seminal. Not only because it was my first album but it also marked the first time that all my concepts and ideas of the way to make music were finally crystalized into a solid reality. Prior to this recording I composed music in the traditional way of pen and paper. After 10 years of this way of composing SPACE will mark a footnote in my life of everything composed before SPACE and after it.

Perfect Cosmic Ambiance
I love this album. I am a great fan of ambient / space music, and the title track takes you right out there, to the far reaches of extra-galactic space! If you listen to the "Espace" track at a resonably low volume, you can almost see nebulas, asteroids, and other cosmic phenomena pass between you and your speakers. Highly recommended if you like albums like Tangerine Dreams "Zeit", or "Celestial Geometries" by Oophoi & Tau Ceti. Or if you just like to drift in galactic bliss!
