ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Heavy Head" marks Drew & the Medicinal Pen's full-length debut, and follow up to "Dream, Dream, Fail, Repeat". Like the previous release, this record is packed with meditative and wistful lyrics, laid over kitschy and powerful melodies. These are true stories from a true young songwriter. Since recording this record, D&MP has played over 100 shows on the East Coast and across the Midwest, gained mention in an article that ran front page in the NY Times, and collaborated with legendary Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty.

"Heavy Head" represents the collective efforts of bassist Anna Morsett, violinist Missy Liu, and drummer Zach Arlan to put into music and lyrics the ideas, anxieties, and stories that swirl around the visual side of the project.
