"The Gods of the Copybook Headings" is a poem written by Nobel prize-winning author Rudyard Kipling. He wrote this in 1919, before the Roaring 20's, the Great Depression, or World War 2. He believed that if a society turned from the basic wisdom we learned as children then that society would fail, and ultimately bring war and suffering. It's a somber poem.
" I recorded live off the floor and had to start over numerous times, because I was crying by the time I reached the end. There are important large scale changes happening in our world right now and empires are changing hands. I believe history is a wheel as people through time are fundamentally the same. The wheel is picking up speed right now. 'Round and 'round we go." ~Elaine Diane Taylor
