ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
IAMOCM was originally released as a five track cassette in 1989 under the slightly different title of 'In A Moment of Madness' and was the first ever 'album' release by Galahad. A few years later new tracks were added to the album and it was released on CD for the 1st time in 1993.

This latest re-issue also includes three live tracks recorded at Whitchurch Parish Hall in December 1992 at what has become a legendary concert amongst die-hard prog fans of the time. Such was the atmosphere, hot, seaty anda very vocal audience, it was akin to playing the old Marquee but in the country! The concert was recorded and released as 'The Christmas Lecture' on cassette the following year but has never been fully released on CD, hence the inclusion of three tracks on this release.

Some of the songs recorded for this first album were written in the very early days of the band. Ghost of Durtal, Lady Messiah and Welcome to Paradise were written as far back as 1985. Painted Lady was written in 1982, long before Galahad even existed!

It's a great musical document of a very young and enthusiastic band (two of the band were still teenagers at the time..hard to believe now I know!) finding their feet and writing interesting music that at times did wear it's influences firmly on it's sleeve. It was a very different and dare I say it more innocent Galahad to that which exists today.
