Those bastard Kirkz return again with a new album AGROCULTURE featuring 12 tracks of punk rock for fans of Rancid, Rise Against and Anti-Flag. The album was recorded amongst the straw, machinery and general smell of shit found on the farm where they practice. The crazy farmer that allows them to use the “facilities” proving instrumental in the whole process with his exhortations to put “some balls into it”
Blossoming from such fertile ground AGROCULTURE is nothing but hits, melodic shout alongs and focused anger recognising a world where the decision makers have become too far removed from the consequences of their actions. Right here, right now is the time of AGROCULTURE and The Kirkz.
They’ve been blasting out of Macclesfield with their lean hungry punk rock for longer than anyone could care to remember. There’s certainly no money in it so the only motivation has to be the respect from any crowd when they tip up into town and walk away with your show. It’s been the same four guys since 1998, ripping up the stage, writing the tunes and paying the dues.
During that time there have been too many awesome people to mention who have crossed paths and leant support giving this band from the bottom of the food chain some nation-wide recognition including regular slots at the Rebellion Festivals.
The release of this album on Manchester independent label TNSrecords marks the start of another chapter as The Kirkz tractor hums into life. They're coming to BREAK YOU IN!
