A common misunderstanding about tantra is that it requires a polygamous lifestyle. This is not true. You can be single, married, a swinger, straight or gay. It really doesn't matter. Many people fear what they don't understand. A tantric relationship is one of symmetry, interdependence and complimentary union. Jealousy, manipulation, fear, sexual guilt, hatred, domination or exploitation has no place in a tantric relationship.
A common phrase we've all heard is "time heals all wounds." Well, it doesn't. YOU heal your own wounds. Ignoring your thoughts and desires may just bring them out again as a negative aspect in a future relationship or ruin your current one. Allow yourself to let go during the guided meditation so that you can unblock any thoughts, attitudes or feelings that are holding you back from sexual ecstasy. Make your relationship the best it can be.
The only way for spiritual progress to be achieved is by confronting and conquering the very aspects of ourselves that make us fall, not by ignoring or falsely criticizing these aspects. Facing and conquering is the path of liberation.
Warning: For your safety, do not drive while listening to track 6 "Guided Meditation for Lovers Sexual Release and Healing" (about attitudes towards sex and past relationship healing) or do ANY activity that requires you to be alert. It contains alpha, theta and binaural beat frequencies, which induce a dreamy state of consciousness. Use headphones for the neurotherapy meditation.
About brainwave frequencies:
When your brain recognizes the frequencies, it shifts into that frequency as it tries to match it. You will feel the shift as you become calm and relaxed. Brainwave entrainment frequencies help you take down the barriers within your own mind and allow you to re-program your subconscious mind. Real change comes from changes in the subconscious, not the conscious mind. Think of your brain as a computer and you are upgrading your operating system with better information while in the same frequency.
Gamma waves: Frequencies between 25 and 100 Hz. Typical is greater than 40 Hz. Usually associated with higher mental activity, higher perception, problem solving, fear and consciousness. Buddhist monks are known to meditate while in Gamma.
Beta waves: Frequencies between 13 and 39 Hz. Usually associated with active or anxious thinking or active concentration, arousal or cognition.
Alpha waves: Frequencies between 7 and 13 Hz. Usually associated with relaxation while still awake, drowsiness before sleep or waking in the morning.
Theta waves: Frequencies between 4 and 7 Hz. Usually associated with deep meditation, dreams and REM sleep.
Delta waves: Frequencies less than 4 Hz. Usually associated with very deep dreamless sleep and loss of body awareness.
