ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Linet Aluoch continues to make her mark on “benga” as a genre with yet another compelling release – Susan. Recorded in late 2009, the tracks here are a fine representation of Linet’s range in style and composition. From the days of her other CDs, Baba Zero, Euro Tour 2005, Wishes! and Sella, Susan reminds the listener of the glory days of benga when the guitar interplay and vocals ruled the day. The vocals in this collection are anchored in Linet’s hallmark deep voice that is nicely complemented by others. More time is dedicated to the instruments while keeping the tempo still danceable. After all, “benga” is happy dance music.
