ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"HWS 2 - Voices" is an all vocal CD that also features Michael's state of the art, virtuoso guitar playing. "Special guests on “HWS 2 - Voices” include “Creed” and “Alter Bridge” guitarist Mark Tremonti, “UFO” guitarist Vinnie Moore, solo artist George Bellas, “Exit the Ride” guitarist Bill Peck and “DSG”guitarist David Shankle. Michael has 3 Shrapnel Records alumni on this CD. MAB, Vinnie Moore and George Bellas have all been on records released by Shrapnel and all 3 of them are featured on the song ”Symphony of Destruction!” Triple the virtuosity on one track! Michael has also added, as a bonus track, an instrumental song with solos performed by members of the MAB Forum! MAB Forum member Maxwell Carlisle wrote and recorded the track. “I feel that this is a great way to get the fans involved as well as feature new guitar talent” quotes MAB. Michael performs the ending solo on the song. A sincere thanks to Max and all of the MAB Forum members and MAB Forum “shredders” that are on the track.

Another Outstanding Job!!
M.A.B's release 'Hands Without Shadow 2-Voices' picks where 'Hands Without Shadows' left off. This release feature vocals by Warren Dunlevy, Jr. and Warren's voice does a great job re-creating the tracks listed. He can go from the growl of James Hetfield of Metallica to the soulful, yet passionate voice of Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. M.A.B.'s verison of the Ozzy classic 'You Can't Kill Rock-N-Roll' is a fine example. Percussionist Joe Babiak also shines, re-creating the drum patterns of these songs, as well. M.A.B.'s arrangements still show us his ability to bring new light to these classic songs. He also spotlights some VERY talented players, such as Mark Temonti, Bill Peck, Vinnie Moore and the reclusive George Bellas. David Shankle shows up on a song entitled "On The Double". We are also trreated with a performance featuring the MAB Forum players. Each member has a chance at showcasing his talent and it's great to hear Michael give these artists a chance to shred along.

Even though I don't enjoy hearing 'cover songs', M.A.B. brings these songs some new creativity and his arrangements to make these songs into chewable delights will leave even the most educated guitarist to drool. Another fine project from Michael that should be in every guitarists collection. Two thumbs up!!
