ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Exiled and cut adrift in the lowlands of Belgium, singer-songwriter Nick Lomas decided to retreat into his bathroom in Brussels with a headful of compositions and some basic recording equipment. The result is this DIY produced CD of tunes aptly named The Bathroom Recordings.

Heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies are staple ingredients of all the songs here. Highlights include the celebratory pop of ‘The Good Year Girl’, the swirling harmonies of ‘Together’, the orchestral wall of sound of ‘Pie-eyed luv...’, the mordant swamp pop wit of ‘Louiza’ and the warm summer jazz guitar of the closing track, ‘Song for Anna.’

The seven self-performed songs on this EP cover a wide sonic palette and feature appearances by collaborators Tenterhook James, Arthur, Kirk Chilton and Nicky French.
