Album Notes
The rich music of Texas is one of the influences of Nieuwe Helden / New Heroes, an acoustic band from The Netherlands. Their upcoming trip to Texas in 2009 has been the inspiration for this CD. On ¡Manos Arriba! you hear how Nieuwe Helden spice up their repertoire with tejano, latin and caribbean flavor. Nieuwe Helden are Kok de Koning (Vocals, Diatonic Accordion), Jan Paul van der Hoeven (Vocals, Double Bass), Remco Posthumus (Vocals, Guitar, Bajo Sexto) and Sascha Pöpping (Drums, Percussion).
