Descarga Editor's Pick:
Ah, those Venezuelans ...they sure know how to do salsa right. Fronted by singers Gustavo Gerardo and Angel Berroterán, this is the sort of salsa release we hope for: no nonsense, high-octane dance grooves, crackling tumbaos, smartly placed moñas, superb singing. This one, folks, has all the right elements. With top-notch arrangements by Willie Melo, Julio Estrada and Gonzalo Palacias. From the opening track "Vengo Bien Plantao'" you can tell that Sabadonga is jammed with serious old-school know-how. Check out "Aqui Traigo Bailador" a red-hot jewel of a dance number. This is where the swing is. Guaranteed to rock the party. This is a monster release that should be on every DJ's first-pick list. Big, big DJ Alert. Very Highly Recommended. (BP, 2010-04-13)
