Album Notes
The self-titled four-song EP is bathed in warm textures and orchestrations that are so aurally luxurious you’ll think your ears have just spent a day at a sonic spa. Overarching chords dominate “Then It Clicks,” forming a cloud that wafts over the composition as other elements take shelter underneath. Static snares are tapped out on the drum machine and sparkling tones fly above the mix, reaching for the outermost portion of the cosmos. The beauty of this EP lies in Williams and Hadeler allowing the songs time to unfold and take shape. The loping rhythm of “The Automaton” almost feels like R&B on Mars as larger-than-life harmonies bear hug slow and stuttering beats. Clicks and muted vocals add just the right amount of color and emotion to what is ultimately the strongest of the four tracks. “Circuits” continues their focus on slow motion high-tech soul, incorporating hip-hop tempos and shape-shifting frequencies that bend and twist their way through the song. The breakdown that occurs in the middle of the song is quite literal as the sounds seem to decay and disintegrate before your ears. “Telesto Observatory” closes the disc with an epic ten-minute journey through up-tempo ambience and chopped-up breaks, setting the stage for the dance floor friendly vibe of The ProtoHype EP." - Jason Randall Smith

Great CD!
I've been listening to this CD all week and I have to say it is incredibly good!
I really liked it the first time I played it through, and every time I play it again I like it even more.
It is deeply layered and has a very compelling texture. It is not repetitive, jerky, or all over the place, like so much stuff out there. Everything is well thought out which gives it a very nice flow.
Bottom line, these songs have that rare combination of an intelligent AND catchy feel.

Simply Amazing!
This CD is amazing! It combines an unbelievable, almost ambient-like electronica vibe, an array of synths and smooth bass, topped off with an extra drive from the drums, to give this album a very unique, wonderful sound that will keep you listening to this CD over and over again. Though there may only be 4 songs, each song has quite some length to it. It is an EP after all! But it just seems to take you off and get you lost in the music. This CD is a MUST-BUY!!! 5 stars, without a doubt. This band is one of the best Electronic artists of this decade, yet somehow unnoticed. Buy this album, you wont regret it!
